Arrival of visitors at the Centre depends on the boat schedule. Boats only run three times a week, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The Saturday boat is rescheduled to Sunday if there is a weekend field course for at the Centre.

From Bandar Seri Begawan, visitors take the express boat from the jetty at Jalan Residency to Bangar jetty, a journey of about 45 minutes.

From Bangar you travel for 18 kilometres by road to the Outward Bound Logistic Centre (OBBD) at Kampong Batang Duri and then transfer to the Centre longboats. These take you upriver to the Centre, a journey which may take between thirty minutes and two and a half hours depending on the water level of the river. The boat occasionally needs to be pushed over shallow rapids. Life jackets are provided.

The charges for staying at the Centre cover food and accommodation at the Centre, transportation between Bandar Seri Begawan & Bangar, and Batang Duri & the Centre. At present the Centre does not organise insurance for visitors, but all visitors are advised to arrange their own accident and health insurance. The current fees per person for students and researchers are:

• Food - B$18 / day
• Accommodation - B$4 /night
• Boat (Batang Duri - KBFSC) - B$20 return
• Boat (BSB - Bangar) - B$13 return

The fees for Government officers and Brunei-Shell employees are:

• Food - B$22 / day
• Accommodation - B$4 /night
• Boat (Batang Duri - KBFSC) - B$20 return
• Boat (BSB - Bangar) - B$13 return

For other visitors the fees are B$65 per night, inclusive of accommodation, food and return boat trip from/to BSB.
