Low Wind Speed Turbines

The challenge is to provide solutions to harness wind energy in low wind speed region. Small wind turbines with peak capacity of less than 100 kW are ideal for distributed, isolated or off grid applications, and they complement well with other renewable energy technologies. UBD CAMES specializes on small turbines design to perform in low wind regions (averaging < 5 m/s). Our strategies is based on site specific design. Our current record for cut-in speed is 1.5 m/s. Our facility includes a wind-tunnel for testing air-foil sections.
