GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTATION,SUBMISSION & REGISTRATION

Thematic Presentations

Individual abstracts will be grouped into Thematic Sessions. The time allotted for the oral presentation of each paper will be 20 minutes, including time for 1-2 questions. Discussion on all papers will take place at the end of the session.

Submission Deadlines

Abstracts should reach the Conference Secretariat no later than 20 January 2008.
Notification of acceptance of submitted abstract :17 February 2008

Registration Fee

USD$150 (Early Bird) for participants who register and pay before 2nd April 2008.

USD$200 (Regular) paying after 2nd April 2008 and onsite.

BND$170(Local participants only)

Participants full registration fee includes:
   ~ Admittance to Welcome Reception and opening Ceremony
   ~Conference bag and Final Program
   ~ Book of Abstract
   ~ Coffee during official conference breaks
   ~ Lunch

Accompanying persons registration fee includes:
   ~ Admittance of the welcome reception
   ~ Campus Tour

Confirmation of Participation

The Conference Secretariat will confirm registration after receipt of both your Registration Form and payment of fees.

Please note that your registration and abstract will be not considered final until the Organizing Committee has received payment from the presenting author.

Cancellation Policy

Written notification is required for all cancellations and changes to your itinerary. A copy of the registration and accommodation form should be attached to the letter of notification and sent to the Secretariat. Registration fees and deposits will be refunded after charging a cancellation fee.
For any written cancellation received before April 1, 50% cancellation fee will apply. No refund thereafter.

Currency

All conference fees are calculated in BND for local participants and in USD for participants from other countries.

• Personal cheques or credit card payments will not be accepted.

• All registration forms and payment received by the Conference Secretariat will be acknowledged by email. If you do not receive such acknowledgement, please send a follow-up email to verify.

Local Brunei Participants (non-paper presenters) may register and pay the local conference fee of BND $170 in cash. This can be paid anytime at the UBD Finance Section up until the first day of the conference – 20th May 2008

If you are a local Brunei paper presenter, you should register and pay the local conference fee of BND $170 in cash at the UBD Finance Section by 2nd May and submit your full paper so that you can be included in the Conference Programme. 

Note that if you are a Government School Teacher, (whether you are a paper presenter or just a non-paper participant) you should check with your principal as you may be eligible to be paid for by the Ministry of Education.
