LABUAN ISLAND DAY TOUR
Description: Tour will start from your hotel. Includes a meet and greet driver who will then bring the guests for a drive along the coastal road to Serasa Ferry terminal to board a ferry to Labuan. The journey will take around a 1 hour cruise across Brunei Bay on the South China Sea. Upon arrival into the island, proceed to visit the Chinese Temple, Japanese Surrender point, the famous Australia War Memorial where yearly hundreds of Australian war veterans and their families will visit, Peace Park which was sponsored by the Japanese people which also yearly, more and more Japanese visit it, Historical Chimney, New Bird Park and also drive pass scenic beach, countryside scenery. A tour to Labuan will not be complete without shopping at one of the many duty free shops, in fact – all the shops are duty free! You will be back at the hotel by 4 pm.

After the tour, you will check into the hotel, relax as dinner is at pax own account. Its recommended to explore oneself as Labuan town is walk able due to its close proximity. Tour includes guide, fully air conditioned vehicles, lunch, sightseeing, and accommodation and launch fare.

HEADHUNTER'S TRAIL
DAY 1
Brunei Sector; Pick up from airport and transfer to Hotel, Briefing on Headhunter’s trail

DAY 2
You will be transferred to Limbang where you will be met by our local Guide at Limbang designated place (Purnama Hotel). From there, our overland transfer will bring us to Medamit jetty to go on longboat to Rumah Bala longhouse, ethnic dwelling of the Iban tribe of Sarawak. Overnight at the longhouse with local meals cooked by your guide and the host family of the longhouse. While you are here in the longhouse, please feel free to ask the longhouse chief on their traditions and customs and you will be entertained with their tribal folklore.
DAY 3
Breakfast in the longhouse and we will continue by longboat to Mentawai to register our entry for Mulu. Continue on longboat for just a short distance upriver and we will disembark and start our trek on the Headhunter’s trail (developed by the Kayan tribe over a century ago). Trek time is between 6-7 hours (12 km) and is fairly flat with only one major river crossing. Arrive at Camp 5 late afternoon and dinner and overnight at the camp.
DAY 4
We depart from camp after breakfast to trek to Kuala Lutut or (Berar depending on water level). Trek time is 2 hours (8 km) to the pick up point where our longboat will take us downriver to Mulu. On the way lunch will be at the Clearwater rest house. You may want to visit the Wind and Clearwater Caves today (or do this on another while you are at the resort) or have a swim in the Clearwater pool. Proceed on longboat downriver and arrive at the Mulu National Park chalet for check-in overnight at the National Park chalet.
DAY 5
Free day this morning after breakfast. In the afternoon at 2 pm, we will go on longboat upriver to the Mulu National Park, register at the park and visit the Deer & Lang Caves, which is a 3 km comfortable plank-walk through the jungle. Await exit of the bats on the bats on the observation point outside the cave and return to resort late evening. Overnight is at the Mulu National Park chalet.
DAY 6
Breakfast at the resort is at leisure until your departure by flight to Miri. From Miri airport, you will be transferred to Brunei by land transport.

The Sarawak Museum closes every Friday.

In Mulu, Park regulations are that visits to Wind & Clearwater Caves is between 9 am till 12 am and visits to Deer & Lang Caves are between 2 pm till 4 pm. The Park is very strict on this as this is for the protection of the caves. Cave lighting will be switched off at the prescribed time schedules.

Clients are advised to travel light (for the Mulu tour) and to take only what is required in a small bag in view of weight restrictions. Only 10 kg per person is allowed.

Clients are to be advised that camera / video fees are to be paid during registration at the park head quarter and to be paid directly to the park. Current fees are at RM 5.00 per camera and RM 10.00 per video camera. Permit for filming equipment and filming requirements will have to be applied prior to arrival.

Recommended film for cave picture taking is ASA 400.

You will need good walking shoes with good grip (tends to be slippery especially after rain) light clothing, hat, insect repellent, torch, swim wear, small backpack / sling pack to put your things. For trips to Pinnacles, a sleeping bag is required.

The journey involves many longboat trips and on occasion may require assistance by the guide and boat driver to help push the boat for some part of the river rides when water level is lower than normal.

It is compulsory that life jacket (provided in the boats) be worn at all times during river trips.

In Brunei, dress code for women should be long sleeves or at least covering the arms. Shorts skirts are also to be avoided, as visits to Mosques will prohibit such visitors from entering.
