Upon completion of the programme, the students are employed by Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd, stationed at Pulau Muara Besar where the Hengyi Petroleum Refinery is being constructed.

To date, five cohorts of students have been awarded the scholarship for the Chemical and Process Engineering programme. UBD has successfully produced 26 Chemical and Process Engineers who are now working with Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd and are currently undergoing their training in Shanghai as part of their career advancement training.

UBD and ZJU also discussed about expansion of their collaborations in other fields both in education and research. Zhejiang University is one of the world’s top universities and belongs to the elite C9 League of universities in China and it is one of China’s oldest and most selective institutions of higher education.
