UBD's premier souvenir and gift shop, Treasure Cove was officially unveiled on 13th April 2017.
Vice Chancellor of UBD Datin Dr Hjh Anita Binurul Zahrina Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Wijaya Dato Seri Setia Hj Awang Abdul Aziz officiated the opening of Treasure Cove in a cocktail-style gathering attended by principle officers and staff of UBD as well as corporate partners.
In her opening remarks, Assistant Vice Chancellor (Corporate & Administration) Rubiah Hj Yacub said that the the idea was to have a platform to showcase UBD alumni creativity and a place where everybody can benefit from outstanding student work. This idea finally became a reality with the launch of Treasure Cove. "Treasure Cove identifies, cultivates and captures the ingenuity of our students' passion and love for art and entrepreneurship," she added. "In turn they share the wonderful outcome with you."
Designed by UBD alumni, the shop itself features products that were designed by students as well as creative packaging ranging from soaps, notebooks, eco-friendly stationery and exclusive silk headscarves.
Evan Ang Yick Kang, Segment Management Associate for Progresif Cellular Sdn Bhd said, "the products are definitely unique and attractive." Commenting on the price tags on the souvenirs, he added, "I see the value they represent and I would definitely consider buying in the future."
"I love the quality products," Manager of Armtrix Enterprise Aaron Goh expressed.
Treasure Cove is located on the Ground Floor of the Business Library and is open from 8am to 4pm daily except on Friday and Sunday.
