Travel information
Visas. You must have a valid passport/travel document recognised by the Brunei government, with a remaining validity of at least 6 months when you enter the country. Citizens of certain countries only are exempted from the requirement of entry visas for social, business, or professional visits of certain periods. See this website for further information: http://www.immigration.gov.bn/visiting.htm
Please be careful to confirm whether you need a visa with your travel agent or the Brunei Embassy/High Commission.
Air travel. Some information on air travel to Brunei is available here. When booking your accommodation, check if the hotel provides free transfers to and from the airport (most do). If not, taxis are available from the airport to your hotel. Expect to pay $B30-$B50.
Currency. The Brunei dollar is pegged at the same value as the Singapore dollar.
Travel to UBD campus. The BRC 2012 hopes to facilitate transport to and from one or more recommended hotels and UBD - please check back for confirmation of this. For those staying on campus at the Core (hostel accommodation) a shuttle bus will be available to and from the main venue for a moderate fee, at certain times.
Taxis. Some information on taxis, buses and car rental is available here.
