UBDSBE-RB Executive Development Programme for Senior Management Presentations and Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony for the UBD SBE-RB Executive Development Programme for Senior Management, designed to elevate the skills of the Royal Brunei Airlines Senior Management, was held on 10th October 2023.

The programme, facilitated by the Universiti Brunei Darssalam School of Business and Economics (UBD SBE), provided participants with knowledge in essential managerial subjects such as Strategic Planning, Islamic Corporate Governance, Capacity Building, Leading & Motivation, and Change Management. Spanning from 18th July to 10th October 2023, over 10 half-days, the programme combined both formative and summative assessments, as well as group paper presentations. All participants were given a Certificate of Completion, jointly endorsed by UBD and Royal Brunei Airline (RB).

The closing ceremony which took place on 10th October 2023 was held at the UBD Library Seminar Room located in the UBD Library. Approximately 35 attendees, including the Guest of Honour, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ayub Sadiq, UBD’s Assistant Vice Chancellor (Innovation and Enterprise); RB’s Executive Management Team; faculty members from UBD SBE; and programme’s participants, attended the closing ceremony. Among the esteemed invitees were members from both the UBD Administration and the UBD SBE faculty, alongside the senior management and participating delegates from RB.

The event began with the arrival of guests at 9:00 am, followed by an opening speech by Captain Sabirin Haji Abdul Hamid, Chief Executive Officer of Royal Brunei Airlines. This was followed by group presentations on varied topics, wrapping up with the Closing Ceremony at 11:00 am. The ceremony ended with closing remarks, the presentation of certificates, a token of appreciation, and a photo session.
