Universiti Brunei Darussalam was established in 1985 when 166 students enrolled in six undergraduate programmes. This cohort of students graduated in 1989 when UBD held its first Convocation Ceremony.

 

Since 1989 the number of UBD graduates has steadily increased as a result of the availability of new academic programmes and the expansion of the University s infrastructure and human capacity development. The Convocation Ceremony 2008 was the University's 20th; to date UBD has successfully produced a total of 11,802 graduates.

 

Maintaining a close and working relationship between UBD and its alumni is of paramount importance to ensure the growth and development of the University as well as the alumni themselves. To achieve this, UBD is committed to providing platforms for strengthening this relationship - the creation of this webpage is just one example.
