BACHELOR OF HEALTH SCIENCE (MAJOR IN MEDICINE)

Entry Requirements

General Requirement

At least a Grade B4 in English Language at GCE ‘O’ Level Examination or a grade ‘A’ in IGCSE English (as a Second Language) or an IELTS score of 7.0 or better, or any equivalent

‘A’ Level Qualification or its equivalent

A minimum of 320 ‘A’ Level points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics with a minimum Grade B.

Bachelor Degree with Honours

At least an upper second class honours in a relevant discipline from Universiti Brunei Darussalam or any other university recognised by the University Senate

International Baccalaureate

At least of 34 points including a minimum of 6, 6, 5 points in relevant subjects at the higher level

(Accepted subjects will be assessed on a case-by-case basis)

Interview

Candidates fulfilling the entry requirements must pass the multiple mini-interviews (MMI) covering the pre-requisite bio-science knowledge, attitudes, ethics and other critical skills needed for a programme of medical studies and must be medically certified as fit to join the programme.

Medical Fitness

Required to go through prescribed medical fitness examination and must be certified as fit to join the programme

BACHELOR OF HEALTH SCIENCE (MAJOR IN BIOMEDICAL SCIENCE)

Entry Requirements

General Requirement

At least a Grade C6 in English Language at GCE 'O' Level Examination or a grade 'B' in IGCSE English (as a Second Language) or an IELTS overall score of minimum 6.0 or better, or any equivalent.

‘A’ Level Qualification or its equivalent

A minimum of 240 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects INCLUDING Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics with a minimum grade of C .

Any other subject combination may be considered on case by case basis

International Baccalaureate

At least 30 points including a minimum of 5, 5, 5 points in relevant subjects at the higher level

(Accepted subjects will be assessed on a case-by-case basis)

Interview

Candidates fulfilling the entry requirements must pass the multiple mini-interview (MMI) covering the pre-requisite bio-science knowledge, attitudes, ethics and critical skills needed to join this programme

 

BACHELOR OF HEALTH SCIENCE (MAJOR IN PHARMACY)

Entry Requirements

General Requirement

At least a Grade C6 in English Language at GCE 'O' Level Examination or a grade 'B' in IGCSE English (as a Second Language) or an IELTS overall score of minimum 6.0 or better, or any equivalent.

‘A’ Level Qualification or its equivalent

A minimum of 300 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant Science subjects with a minimum of Grade B for Chemistry and a minimum Grade C in at least two other Science subjects (Physics, Mathematics or Biology).

International Baccalaureate

A minimum score of 32 points including a minimum of 5, 5, 5 points in relevant subjects at higher level, with Chemistry as a mandatory subject. Other two (2) relevant subjects should be from Physics, Mathematics or Biology. 

Interview

Candidates fulfilling the entry requirements must pass the multiple mini- interview (MMI) covering the pre-requisite Pharmaceutical knowledge, attitudes, ethics and other critical skills needed for the programme

Medical Fitness

Required to go through prescribed medical fitness examination and must be certified as fit to join the programme

 

BACHELOR OF HEALTH SCIENCE (MAJOR IN NURSING OR MIDWIFERY)

Entry Requirements

General Requirement

At least a Grade C6 in English Language at GCE 'O' Level Examination or a grade 'B' in IGCSE English (as a Second Language) or an IELTS overall score of minimum 6.0 or better, or any equivalent.

‘A’ Level Qualification or its equivalent

A minimum of 220 points for three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects INCLUDING Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics

Any other subject combination may be considered on case by case basis

Diploma Qualification

A Higher National Diploma or National Diploma in Sciences or its equivalent with a minimum of 5 merits in related subject

(Accepted subjects will be assessed on a case-by-case basis)


Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery without working experience

At least three (3) merits and/or passes with credit in the second and third year of the diploma programme undertaken with no repeat modules

Bachelor Degree with Honours

At least 26 points including a minimum of 5, 5, 4 in relevant subjects at the higher level. Accepted subjects will be assessed on a case-by-case basis

Medical Fitness

Required to go through prescribed medical fitness examination and must be certified as fit to join the programme

 

 

BACHELOR OF HEALTH SCIENCE (MAJOR IN DENTISTRY)

Entry Requirements

General Requirement

At least a Grade B4 in English Language at GCE 'O' Level Examination or a grade 'A' in IGCSE English (as a Second Language) or an IELTS overall score of minimum 7.0 or better, or any equivalent.

‘A’ Level Qualification or its equivalent

A minimum of 320 'A' Level points for three (3) 'A' Level passes in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics with a minimum of Grade B; OR an Internationally recognized degree of Upper Second or First Class honours in a relevant discipline from Universiti Brunei Darussalam or any other university recognised by the University Senate.

International Baccalaureate

At least of 34 points including a minimum of 6, 6, 5 points in relevant subjects at the higher level.

Interview

Candidates fulfilling the entry requirements must pass the interview called multiple mini-interviews (MMI) covering the pre-requisite Bioscience knowledge, attitudes, ethics and other critical skills needed for a programme of dentistry.
