2.6 First Degree
All first degree programmes are 4 years full-time unless otherwise stated.
General Entry Requirements
The minimum qualification required for entry to the University is two ‘A’ Level passes (equaling 80 points) or equivalent qualifications obtained in a maximum of three sittings within the last three years (2005-2007) OR a Pass in the International Baccalaureate (24 IB points). However, applicants must ALSO satisfy the specific entry requirements for the programme(s) for which they are applying; in most cases these require at least ONE ‘A’ Level pass at grade ‘C’ or better.
And
For English-medium and Bilingual programmes, at least a credit 6 in English Language at GCE ‘O’ Level Examination or a grade ‘C’ in IGCSE English (as a Second Language) or an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL minimum overall score of 550. Candidates wishing to enroll in a Bachelor of Health Science/Medicine programme and those who wish to take a major course in Teaching English as a Second Language in the B. A. Education programme are required to have at least an IELTS score of 6.5.
For Malay-medium programmes, at least a credit 6 in Bahasa Melayu at GCE ‘O’ Level Examination.
For B.A (Malay medium) and B.A. Major in Brunei Studies programmes, at least a credit 6 in Bahasa Melayu and at least a pass in English Language at GCE ‘O’ Level Examination or at IGCSE English (as a Second Language) or an IELTS score of 5.0.

Calon hendaklah memperolehi kiraan mata minimum sebanyak 160 mata di dalam Peperiksaan Lanjutan GCE ‘A’ Level dan salah satu dari mata pelajaran yang diperolehi mestilah sekurang-kurangnya gred ‘C’ atau lebih baik khususnya dalam subjek Art atau Art and Design bagi pengkhususan Pendidikan Seni Lukis ATAU lulus dalam ujian kecergasan dan kemahiran sukan yang dikendalikan oleh Institut bagi pengkhususan dalam Pendidikan Jasmani. After three years, students will obtain a Bachelor of Health Science (Ord.) from Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
