2.1 PhD Degree

Currently Ph. D. Programmes are offered by the following institute / faculties:

 Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education
 Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
 Faculty of Science
 Faculty of Business, Economics and Policy Studie

General Entry Requirements :

The Minimum requirement for Ph.D. Programmes is normally a relevant Master's degree or a First Class Honours degree or its equivalent from institutions recognized by the University Senate. Evidence of adequate training and ability to undertake the programme must also be submitted.

The duration of a Ph. D. programme is normally 3 years full-time or 5 years part-time.

Note: Interested applicants are advised to consult the relevant department in the Faculty / Institute before making a formal application. Application can be submitted to the University at any time of the year.
