This one year full-time programme starts in September each year; it comprises taught courses, a field course and a 4-month research project. Students may be required to undertake the research component outside Brunei Darussalam. Apart from staff of the Petroleum Geoscience Department, visiting lecturers also contribute to some taught courses. External examiners have been drawn from the University of Aberdeen (UK) which has also provided advice in the development of the programme. This programme is supported by funding from Total E & P Borneo B.V.
