The Master of Environmental Management is a multi-disciplinary programme that aims to prepare graduates who have a high competency in environmental management to meet the demands of industry, government, consultancy and public sectors. The programme will provide knowledge and understanding of the various facets that comprise environmental management, how they inter-relate with each other and how integrated approaches are often necessary to achieve the desired results. The programme promotes an enhanced understanding of the global environment and the need for on-going environmental education at all levels of society.
This programme is multi-disciplinary cutting across many Faculties at the University. The programme emphasises the need for increased environmental training, education and awareness, in view of recent problems of environmental degradation in Southeast Asia. The programme serves to provide an understanding of environmental problems, their causes and solution, through an understanding of the scientific, socio-economic and political backgrounds.
