Departments in FBEPS require 24 units for a minor programme. Most BA (Econ) students take a minor that is offered by FBEPS. However, they may take a minor from other faculties where required minor units may be different from 24. The students, therefore, must assure that (a) they take all the University required and Faculty basic courses (b) take all required courses and complete minimum units requirement for their major and minor programmes and (c) complete an overall total of at least 124 units to graduate. |

Students are required to take elective courses if, after taking all major, minor and University required and Faculty basic courses, the total units do not add up to 124. Elective courses could be chosen from major / minor departments or from any other department of the University with the consultation of the Head of the Department. |
Note: Students are also allowed to forgo a minor programme. Instead, they can take additional optional courses in economics and some elective courses from any other department after consulting the Head of the Department of Economics.
